Engage Agro is involved in the registration, sales, and marketing of specialized and niche market crop protection products in Canada.  We also market specialized products for the integrated control of disease in turf and nuisance animals in industrial settings.

We are a strong advocate and supporter of the minor use registration system in Canada.  We work with grower associations, researchers, and extension specialists to register active ingredients that provide new and useful pest control for high value fruit, vegetable and specialty crops.

Company Background

Engage Agro became a reality in January 1995 as the result of a unique business concept. When Engage was formed in the mid 1990's it was becoming increasingly clear that the major manufacturers in the crop protection industry were focusing on products in their portfolio which represented the highest business potential. Most often, this resulted in the registration of active ingredients for large field crops only. Through discussions with producer groups, researchers and manufacturers, it became clear that there was a need for a company that could develop, market, and service products for smaller sized, but important markets. Producers and end-users in these markets were looking for a way to access new pest control options for their integrated pest control programs.

The evolution of the industry in Canada led to the decision to form Engage Agro. We develop, register, market and service crop protection and pest control products that meet producer and consumer needs in horticulture, ornamentals, row crops, turf, vegetation management and specialty markets.

Register & market crop protection and pest control products in Canada on behalf of multinational partners, with a focus on niche markets.

Structure

Engage Agro is not large, which might be a bit intimidating to potential partners. However, we have found that by staying relatively small, we can better focus on product marketing than on corporate red tape and bureaucracy. We resource our business to the opportunities at hand to provide efficiencies for not only Engage, but for the benefit of our strategic partners and our target customers.
